well for most devices. e minimum value is 0.01 seconds and the maximum value is 1.00
seconds.
e Undo button returns all Output Communication parameters to the values they had
when the task was started; the OK button sends all the Output Communication parameters
to the sensor (the settings are not saved to FLASH at this point). Clicking the Cancel button
will cause you to lose any changes and return to the CAZ menu.
Secondary Push Manager
e secondary push manager is dedicated to transmission of trigger speed data. e set-
tings of this secondary push manager are at the bottom of the Setup Output Communica-
tions screen. By default, this push manager is disabled (Port option set to None).
is section describes the settings contained in the bottom section of the Output Commu-
nication Setup screen.
Select trigger speed options
If the trigger speed port is set to 1 (control bus) or 2 (data bus) trigger speeds will be pushed
on the corresponding port. e trigger speed communicates the speed of a vehicle that
activated the channel. When a pulse channel is used to signal trigger speeds, a speed will be
pushed for each uniquely detect vehicle.
e trigger speed option only monitors alert 1, zone 1 of the selected channel. e trigger
speed channel is selected using the channel drop down control on the right.
e trigger speed tag is a 6-character tag that is inserted aer the speed bytes of the trigger
speed message. e trigger speed tag is intended to be used by the customer to identify
where the speed came from. It can also be used to customize the terminator sequence if
necessary.
Note
In some applications it is recommended to select the trigger speed channel to cor-
respond to a pulse channel type. A trigger speed will be sent when each uniquely
tracked vehicle enters the zone of the pulse channel. One such application is to calcu-
late 85th percentile speed to an intersection approach. The trigger speed data can be
forwarded by a terminal server to a UDP listener which would timestamp the speed
data, store it in a database, and filter speeds based upon signal light status.
